Agenda

Brigadier General Reinhard Trischak is the Director of the Military Policy Division at the Ministry of Defense in Austria. Prior to this, he was Director of the Concepts and Capabilities Directorate at the EU Military Staff in Brussels and Commanding Officer of the Austrian Special Forces.

In addition to having completed the Command and General Staff Colleges in Austria and Ft. Leavenworth in the United States, he graduated from the Institut Universitaire des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva, Switzerland. BG Trischak has participated in operations on the Golan Heights (UNDOF) and in Kosovo (KFOR).

EU Ambitions – the Global Strategy

This seminar is part of the Austrian lecture series jointly organized by the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, the Embassy of Austria, the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University SAIS, and other partners on the occasion of the Austrian Presidency of the European Union 2018, the 180th anniversary of the U.S.-Austrian diplomatic relations and the Commemorative Year 2018 (including the centenary of the founding of the Republic of Austria).
