Ambassador Andras Simonyi and the Center for Transatlantic Relations invites you to LGBT Rights: Locally Grown, Globally Promoted Part of the newly launched THE GEOPOLITICS OF LGBT RIGHTS FORUM SERIES Tuesday, May 12, 2015 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm Center for Transatlantic Relations Kenny Herter Auditorium, Johns Hopkins SAIS, 1740 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20036 LGBT Rights: Locally Grown, Globally Promoted is part of THE GEOPOLITICS OF LGBT RIGHTS FORUM SERIES – a series of discussion forums planned over the course of 2015 by the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins SAIS. In the context of an increased interest from U.S. human rights organizations for at-risk global LGBT communities, the Center brings together professionals with experience in international arena and the LGBT/human rights issues. The Center offers an engaging platform to explore the challenges of international work on LGBT rights, the means and risks of transmitting and sharing their experiences, the impact of their work on the LGBT communities abroad, the paths that could be followed or avoided, and the expectations that those involved should have. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
