“Blinders, Blunders, and Wars,” published by the RAND Corporation, analyzes eight case studies of historic strategic blunders and four “control” studies in which a blunder was averted. The book makes recommendations both for U.S. decision making structures and for U.S.-China relations. The full book is available at www.rand.org.

Hans Binnendijk last served as Vice President of the National Defense University and is currently a Senior Fellow at CTR.
